Baby Sevier!

Well, talk about slacking . . . it's been 2 months since I've posted anything! But, I have a good excuse! I went back to work (school), which always causes me to be a little more worn out than usual. After a summer filled with no alarm clocks, I tend to walk around like a zombie for the first few weeks. However, I have been exhausted! Turns out . . . I'm pregnant! We've been trying since April/May, and it finally happened. I found out on September 2nd, and just had my first appointment on September 22nd. I had an ultrasound and even got to see the heart beat! Dr. Hager estimates that I'm about 6 weeks 5 days (as of today), but I had myself at 7 weeks 4 days. Anyhow, I'm due on May 17th, 2010! A perfect ending to the school year and beginning to the summer! I can't wait to meet him/her!

The official test! This is actually the 3rd test I took. The first two were the kind with the blue line, and while there was a blue line somewhat present on the first two, I had to buy the digital kind that clearly read "pregnant" or "not pregnant."

Showing off my good news before heading off to work!

Maybe a little much . . . but, I wanted to remember the date that I found out!

At my parent's house after we revealed the good news. My mom, dad, and nini are pumped (as are everyone else in our lives!). They were beginning to think it would never happen.

The baby's first picture. Sorry . . . I'm not very good at this blogging stuff yet. I can't figure out how to rotate the picture, but you get the idea.

Ten Year Reunion

Well, I officially feel old . . . I just had my ten year high school reunion this past weekend. Although, I do have to say that I've been looking forward to it. I got to see a lot of people I haven't seen in (literally) ten years! Of course, most of my pictures make it look like it was just any old weekend. I'm proud to say I'm still good friends with most of my girls from high school.

The weekend started off at a bar called Kamp's. Of course, it wouldn't be a Mustang party if there wasn't a fight! Luckily, it was at the very end of the night and I really needed to get off the dance floor anyway! On Saturday there was a family picnic at Wildhorse Park in Mustang. However, we didn't attend this . . . I felt like it was more for families with human children, not beagles. On Saturday night, we headed to Bricktown for dinner at Crabtown. There was an awards presentation (mostly silly awards) and a slideshow of highschool pics. After that, we went to a club called Paralogia (sp?). I hated for it to end! We had a great weekend.

Fun in Shawnee

Last weekend we all went to Shawnee . . . Friday for a Girls' Night Out and Saturday for some fun in the sun! On Friday all the girls (including Sherri and Cassie's grandma) went out to eat at Chili's and then to Hot Rods and Dietrich's (the 2 bars that Sherri's dad owns). On Saturday morning all the guys came and met us for a day on the lake. I'm not usually a "boat person," but Des and Mike's new boat was a blast!

Carpet Conundrum

After returning from Big Cedar Lodge last Sunday, Kyle and I had to rush over to his parents, pick up the dogs and bring them home before we could get to the bowling alley at 4:00. We were in a huge rush and accidentally locked Wylie in our bedroom. When we got home, Pistol was running around in a panic. This was our first clue that something was wrong. When Kyle went to open our bedroom door I heard his exclaim, "WYYYYYYLLLIEEEEEE!" I think Wylie thought he could dig out of our bedroom the way he does in the backyard. Unfortunately for us all . . . he just ruined our carpet. Of course, Kyle couldn't get on to him because he felt so bad for locking him in there for 3 hours!

Here's Wylie and his mess . . .

He's lucky he's so cute!

Big Cedar Lodge

Kyle and I just returned from a trip to Ridgedale, Missouri for his Summer Regional Meeting. We left on Thursday to drive halfway to Fayetteville, Arkansas. Then we left for Big Cedar Lodge on Friday morning. This was Kyle's second regional meeting, but my first . . . last year I was busy being a bridesmaid in Kelly and Nam's wedding.

The place we stayed was awesome! We had our own little cottage in the middle of lots of beautiful mountains and waterfalls. There were a ton of fun activities, although there wasn't quite enough time to enjoy them all. The last night we were there was "Fifties Night" and we had to dress the part. While that part was fun it was a bit uncomfortable. I wore a pair of pants that were Sherri's in high school. Needless to say, I was ready to change! At dinner that night there was an awards ceremony, and Kyle won 2 awards. I am so proud of him. This is definitely a challenging time in his line of work. To keep his head above water is hard enough, but to win two production awards was exciting for him and for me . . . although he really won't admit it.

Here are some pictures from our weekend:

Stopping in Fayetteville and partying like we
are still in college . . . wishful partying!

Six Years Already!

Sunday, June 21st was our 6 year wedding anniversary. Since it was Father's Day, we actually celebrated on Saturday. We went and ate lunch at Harry's and played golf at Pebble Creek. Kyle would have preferred an 18 hole course, but I'm not quite ready for that yet . . . plus it was about 99 degrees out! We also went to see the movie The Hangover. It was hilarious! Everyone in the theater was cracking up!

It was a fun day! Kyle got me a bottle of Laugh . . . I've been asking for it since Christmas. :) He also got me a Beagle head cover for my driver. I got him a Titleist golf hat. It's orange, black, and white and has OSU on the side. I also got him a gift card to the website where I bought the hat. They have a ton of cool golf stuff. I kind of went for a whole golf theme. . . I also had a picture framed of him playing golf in Hawaii for his office. Here a the few pics we got:

A picture of us . . . we had no one to take the picture, so we had to set the timer on our camera. These never come out as good as you think they will!

Well, Michelle has been trying to talk me into blogging for a while now. I thought I would wait until we have kids, but that could be a while!
