As I'm sure it was for every Oklahoma family this year, Christmas was crazy! The Christmas Eve blizzard that came through messed up everything . . . although I did wish for a white Christmas, and that's exactly what I got! We had our Sevier family Christmas on Saturday, December 19th since Des and Mike and the girls go to Bartlesville for Chirstmas.
We usually have Christmas Eve at my dad's family's, but because of the storm we canceled and had it on Sunday, the 27th. I let Kyle open a few of his Christmas presents early, so we would have some entertainment while stuck inside. We watched Four Christmases and The Hangover while we ate turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and rolls. I don't usually have the stuff on hand to whip up a Christmas dinner like that, but I was glad I did . . . we may not have eaten otherwise!
Christmas Day went as planned with my mom's side of the family. It just took us a little while longer to get there! Here are some pictures from our crazy, mixed up, white Christmas of 2009!

Sadie didn't care much about presents . . .
she was happy as long as she had a candy
cane in her hand.
My sweet niece who is 5 going on 16!
Isn't she beautiful?
The last Christmas as a family of 2!
It's hard to believe that the baby will not only
be here, but already be 7 months old next year!
Right now, she's only about 9-10 inches long!

I'm talking, it's the best one!

Record breaking snowfall . . .
this is the most snow that Oklahoma has ever
received during the month of December
(somewhere around 14 inches with
drifts as high as 6 feet).
I don't know if my poor wreath will survive or not . . .
it still has frozen snow stuck in it!
Although, it made for a pretty picture . . .
Kyle's snow angel . . . he's like a big kid when
it comes to playing in the snow!

Have a safe 2010, and don't forget to cheer on
the Pokes in the Cotton Bowl on Saturday.
Kyle and I will be there rooting us on to victory!
