Jackson at 3 months

Jackson is 3 months old already!  He's starting to get fun now . . . lots of smiling, ooohing and ahhhing, laughing out loud, and other little noises.  He's really starting to reach out for stuff . . . toys, my hair, blankets, etc.  He is super strong and loves to stand up on his changing table just holding onto our fingers.  He also loves to look at himself in the mirror.  If you stand him up facing you, he will turn his head completely around and look at himself!

He didn't have a well baby visit this month, so I did his measurements at home.  He weighs about 16 pounds and is 24 1/2 inches long!  He's already wearing 3-6 and 6 month clothes and size 2 diapers.  He eats about every 2 1/2 to 3 hours (4-6 oz.).  He goes to bed around 9:30 p.m.  He will usually wake up about 6:30 a.m., eat 2-4 oz. and then go back to sleep for 2-3 hours.  He sleeps like a champ at night!  He will take several cat naps during the day, but usually not for longer than 30 minutes.  If he sleeps for more than that, I don't know what to do with myself!  But, I couldn't ask for a better baby.  He's such a sweet little guy.  We all love you so much, Jackson!

Unfortunately, I'm not able to upload any pictures at this time.  I get a message that I've used up all my free space and now have to pay if I want more.  I'm not sure if there is a way around this, but if anyone knows anything about it, will you please let me know?  I don't want to stop posting pics, but I don't want to pay monthly for it either.  Thanks!

Tatum and Piper Visit/Ellie's Fall Festival

Well, November flew by, just like the rest of the months have since Jackson got here.  I'm just catching up with a few things that happened over the past few weeks.

The first weekend in November, our friends Shawn, Stephanie, Tatum, and Piper came to visit.  Ellie and Tatum are 3 months apart and Jackson and Piper are 1 month apart.  Ellie had a blast playing with Tatum!

We also went to Ellie's Fall Festival at her school a couple of weeks ago.  They had games, face painting, a bounce house, and an auction.  We tried to win the OSU basket, but got outbid.  (We actually have most of the items that were in it anyway!)  Ellie was not in a smiling mood that night, but she did smile and have fun when we weren't pointing a camera at her.

We found this scorpian in Ellie's room the night before the Hatfields came.  When Ellie couldn't remember what it was called, she would say, "Where is that tilapia we found in my room?"
Tilapia . . . Scorpian . . . whatever.
Ready for Tatum and the OSU game!

Next up will be Jackson's 3 month post and Thanksgiving.  Hopefully they will be up before Christmas!

Jackson at 2 months!

Weight: 13 pounds 4 ounces- 90th percentile
Length: 22.5 inches- 40th percentile

This month has been so much better for us around here!  Jackson is such a happy guy now!  He loves to smile and laugh out loud.  He is a little chunk (as you can tell by his weight).  This kid loves to eat!  He is also sleeping through the night.  Last Friday night he went to sleep at 10:30 p.m. and didn't wake up until 8:30 a.m.  Amazing!  We are so in love with him!

Halloween 2012

This year we had an OSU Cheerleader and Pistol Pete for Halloween!  They were adorable!  We went to Sadie's birthday party last Saturday.  It was a costume party, so we dressed up Ellie and Jackson.  They had so much fun!  They were both totally exhausted after the party.

Cutest Pistol Pete EVER!

On Sunday, we went to a Trunk or Treat at Ellie's school.  We had hotdogs and walked around to all the games.  Ellie wouldn't play any of them until the last two.  She would, however, take the candy after Kyle and I would play the game for her. ;)  The highlight of the afternoon was when we saw one of her teachers, Mrs. Jessica.

This pic cracks me up!
Not too sure about this whole trunk-or-treat thing
Golfing for candy!
Fishing for M&Ms (wouldn't that be cool?  I might become a master fisherman!)

On Halloween, we went to Grandma's house for pizza and then trick-or-treating.  Ellie had lots of fun with her cousins this year.  She loved going to each house and getting candy.  She would even go up to the scary houses.  She ran all over the neighborhood!

Ellie's Earrings

Well, I finally talked Kyle into letting me get Ellie's ears pierced.  I really thought he might make us wait until she was 16!  We went to the mall and Ellie was all pumped up!  We put some numbing cream on her earlobes while we ate lunch.  Then we went to Claire's.  We about died when they told us how much it was going to cost . . . $60 to pierce a 2-year-old's ears!  Isn't that ridiculous?  I almost changed my mind, but Ellie was already too excited.  Claire's was out of permission forms so they sent us to Icing.  Ellie got up in the chair and was already deciding which color sucker she was going to get.  Then the lady wanted to put dots on her ears and she started to get nervous.  She let her put the dots on and then we decided that I should probably hold her.  She pierced the first one and Ellie cried, but let her do the second without jerking or freaking out in any way.  Having had my ears pierced a million times, I know it only hurts for a minute.  My biggest fear was that she'd start flailing around and we'd leave with only one ear pierced!

But, she did amazing!  She picked the earrings she wanted . . . little flowers.  Then she picked an orange sucker and we were on our way!  She looks so precious and she's very proud of her new earrings.

Not too sure why this lady is touching her . . .

 Not too happy

This is after we got home.  How cute are my kids???
